The novelty revelation of having the Queen of Spades reveal or predict the Six of Spades by the design she holds in her hand seems to be the invention of Carlos Vaquera. He used it in his competition set at the 1987 S.A.M. Convention in Las Vegas. It appears in Aldo Colombini's Simply Impromp2, 2005, p. 91 and in M-U-M, Vol. 96 No. 2, July 2006, p. 42.
