J. N. Ponsin claims as his creation the trick of making the black Aces in the center of the deck instantly transpose with the red Aces at the top and bottom of the deck. He describes the trick in Nouvelle Magie Blanche Dévoileé, 1853, p. 136, “Faire changer subitement quatre cartes, deux fois de suite, de situation dans le jeu”.
