Classic Force (bold approach)

The idea of simply handing a card or cards to persons in the front row, while implying to the audience that cards are being freely selected, is mentioned in Page Wright's Notebook, 1933, p. 5, three years after Wright's death. Wright does not take credit for the idea. Willard, Virgil and others were also known to use this. However, Wright's mention of it may be the earliest print reference. (Wright offers a more detailed discussion in Page Wright's Manuscript, 1991 (written ca. 1929), p. 103, “The 'Nerve' Force”.)
