Pass Used as False Cut

The idea of executing a pass as you appear to cut off the top half of the deck, resulting in a false cut, is found in an unpublished, anonymous British notebook written circa 1800. The book was transcribed and published by Will Houstoun as The Notebook, 2009, p. 67.
