A case of independent invention can be made for this sleight. The first to publish it is Karl Fulves, in Epilogue Special, No. 5, 1976, p. 305. Next, Marlo credits it to Steve Draun in Marlo's Magazine, Volume 3, 1979, p. 250. And while Bro. John Hamman is usually given credit for the sleight, in the published record he comes in last, in Richard's Almanac, Vol. 3, Summer 1985, p. 298.
