Spectators Batch-Shuffle the Deck

Breaking up the deck into packets for different people to shuffle, thus preserving descreet groups of cards was used by T. Nelson Downs in “The T.N.D. Speller with Ordinary Deck,” described by him in a letter to Edward McGuire dated (apparently) April 25, 1924. See The Linking Ring, Vol. 51 No. 5, May 1971, p. 66.
