Carlyle False Count

This false count for cards and bills, invented by Francis Carlyle, is distinguished by the “walking fingers” action used by the hand receiving the counted cards. It was first described by Jean Hugard in More Card Manipulations, No. 3, 1940, p. 15.

Carlyle's “walking fingers” action was a finesse on a false count used by Adrian Plate in his “The Disappearing Card” from The Magician Annual, 1907-1908, p. 37.
