The placement system used in this Karl Fulves trick (which originally appeared in his Impromptu Opener MS., 1979, p. 2, under the title “Stopped Twice”) seems to be Herb Rungie's, from his “Hidden Mystery”, published in The Jinx, No. 83, March 9, 1940, p. 535.
